Campus Beautification
Campus Beautification Event
Aloha All,
Thank you to all who participated in the August Campus Beautification Event. We are excited to continue our efforts to "Spruce Up our Lancer Country." Our next event is November 5th from 7am-12noon. By participating in this event, you'll be far from all the traffic troubles in Waikiki and you'll be working with people that are much more down to earth (or down in the earth). This event will include painting and planting projects. As part of his work to propagate various plants, Mr. Kobashigawa, Team F 8th grade science teacher, will be doing some air-layering for any who would like to learn.
This is a family event and we encourage parents and students to attend. Come enjoy a morning filled with opportunity to boost school pride, clean up our campus, and build friendships. Again, tasks for the day will include painting and planting, and spreading mulch. Please come spend the morning with us and enjoy giving back to our school community!
If you or your child can participate in helping beautify our campus, please let me know by replying to this email. This way we will have an accurate count for food and supplies. If you have paint rollers (either large or the smaller 3-4" rollers) or trays for the paint rollers that you can bring, please do so as these supplies will greatly help us. Mahalo for your support!
Small garden tools (rakes, shovels, gloves, outdoor brooms) will be provided, but we are asking that if you have any of the mentioned items, and would be willing to use them for the event it would be greatly appreciated. We are hopeful that the turnout of volunteers will be great and want to be sure that there are enough tools available to maximize our work force. Water and light refreshments will be served.
We look forward to meeting all of you and know that this will be a very fun event!
